Tao Xingzhi, the original name of Tao Wen, after that rename Xingzhi or Zhixing , He is from Anhui Province, Shexian.陶行知原名文，后改知行、行知，安徽省歙县人。

Graduated from Jinling University in 1914,

1914年毕业于金陵大学，

Then he studied in Columbia University

后留学美国哥伦比亚大学。

Return home in the autumn of 1917

1917年秋回国。
