Jiuhua Mountain

Ok, now we are heading for Mt. Jiuhua,

好的，现在我们要去九华山，

It’s about 30 minutes’ bus ride.

坐公共汽车大约30分钟。

On the way you can enjoy the beautiful scenery

And I'd like to give you a brief introduction about Mt. Jiuhua.

我想简单介绍一下九华山。

Mt. Jiuhua was originally known as jiuzi (nine-peak) mount.

九华山最初被称为九峰山。

li bai, a famous chinese poet over 1300 years ago wrote of the mountain:

一千三百多年前的中国著名诗人李白对这座山写道：

“Sailing on the yangtze river, watching mt.jiuhua from after,

昔在九江上，遥望九华峰。

green water falls from the sky, nine lotuses appear in the air.”

天河挂绿水，秀出九芙蓉。

This expresses the poet's great admiration for mt.jiuhua.

这反映了诗人对九华山的极大推崇。

From then on, the mountain was renamed as mt.jiuhua.

从此，这座山改名为九华山。

As the Western Hills also look like a sleeping Buddha, it is also known as the Sleeping Buddha Mountain.

又因其状似卧佛，亦名“睡佛山”。

Jiuhua Mountain is located in Qingyang County, southeast of Anhui Province.

九华山位于安徽省东南部青阳县境内。

The Jiuhua Mountain is surrounded by trees, and is a tourist resort. 

九华山树木蓊郁,环境清幽, 是个旅游圣地。

Mt. Jiuhua covers more than 100 square kilometers in area,

九华山占地一百多平方公里，

which has been known to have 99 peaks,

已知有99座山峰，

and the main peak of the Shiwang peak is 1342m above sea level.

石旺峰的主峰是海拔一三四二二米，

Mt. Jiuhua is full of waterfalls, streams, exotic-looking boulders,

九华山到处都是瀑布、溪流、异国风情的巨石，

ancient caves, old pines and exuberant bamboo.

古老的洞穴，古老的松树和繁茂的竹子。

with the richly variegated landscape,

有着丰富多彩的景观，

the ancient temples are tucked away amid the dense woods

古老的寺庙藏在茂密的树林里。

and the air reverberates with the tolling of the bells at dawn and dusk.

黎明和黄昏时，随着钟声的敲响，空气回荡着。

Mt. Jiuhua is usually known as the no.1 mountain of the southeast.

九华山通常被称为东南的第一座山。
