Yunnan chapter

Yunnan draws holiday takers.

云南吸引着假日旅游者。

Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province, enjoys the fame as the "City of Eternal Spring.云南省省会昆明市素有“春城”的美誉。

We have some nice pomelos just in from Yunnan.

我们有些很好的柚子，是刚从云南运来的。

Yunnan is one of the tourist resorts in China with unique characteristics.

云南是中国独具特色的旅游胜地。

I went to Yunnan, to Lijiang, which very, very fascinating to me!

On day four, we loaded into a van and headed north for Shangri-La.

在丽江的第四天，我们全家乘坐一辆面包车前往香格里拉。

A Shangrila word in Tibetan is solar and moon's meaning,

香格里拉一词在藏语中是太阳和月亮的意思,

Explains refers to the paradise, World heaven.

喻指世外桃源,人间天堂。

Shangri-la can be called a genuine fairy mountain.

香格里拉真算得上是一座真正的仙山。

Half a century ago, a Russian called Peter came here,

半个世纪前，俄国人顾彼得来到丽江，

touched by its pastoral tranquility and homony, and named it the Forgotten Kingdom.

被这里世外桃园般的宁静和谐却鲜为人知深深感动，称之为“被遗忘的王国”。

That no place and nothing is perfect,

没有一个地方或事物是完美无缺的，

there is no real Shangrila (although there is a place called Shangrila in Yunnan).

真正的“香格里拉”是不存在的（虽然云南有个叫“香格里拉”的地方）。

I very much agree with this view.

我很赞同这个观点，

If I will be asked in view of pure life: "Where Is your Shangri-la?”

如果从纯生活的角度问我：“你的香格里拉在那里？”
