Lifelong education;

终身教育

There seems to be a growing tendency of life-long education for all.

全民的终身教育似乎越来越成为教育的发展趋势。

The system of continuing education should also be improved so that a life-long educational system could be gradually established.

完善继续教育制度，逐步建立终身教育体系。

The idea now is lifelong learning,

如今新的概念是终身教育，

which is in line with one of our old sayings: it is never too old to learn.

正符合我们中国人的一句老话，活到老，学到老嘛！

As a result, education is increasingly becoming a lifelong activity;

因此，教育日益成为一项终身活动；

Education is a lifelong process.

教育是终身的进程；

No person emerges from school as a finished product.

没有人从学校一出来就是一个接受完教育的人。

The old people should be encouraged to learn science and culture,

鼓励老年人学习科学文化知识，

give full scope to their potentials participating into the social life,

发挥老年人参与社会生活的潜力，

and cultivate independence and self-assistance.

倡导和鼓励老年人自主、自助。

May the elders have happiness, and with more age have more youthfulness.老有所乐，越活越年轻。
