Freedom

What is meant by freedom?

何谓自由?

Freedom is a word of wide application. 

自由一词可用于多种场合。

Freedom is our natural birthright. 

自由是我们的天赋权利。

Only a truly free person has human dignity. 

只有真正自由的人才具有人的尊严。

The right to be free means the right to be free. 

自由的权利就是自由的权利，没有附加条件。

Liberty, Equality and Fraternity

自由、平等和博爱   

Freedom has always been the life force of Western civilization. 

自由一直都是西方文明的生命力。

Life is dear, love is dearer. Both can be given up for freedom.

生命诚可贵，爱情价更高，若为自由故，两者皆可抛。

For any country or nation, the right to subsistence is the most important of all human rights. 对任何国家或民族来说，生存权是所有人权中最重要的。
